Sindmóveis

Sindmóveis, the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves, is the organization that represents 300 companies in the main furniture cluster in Brazil in terms of parts produced and number of companies (IEMI), and comprises the cities of Bento Gonçalves, Monte Belo do Sul, Pinto Bandeira and Santa Tereza.

The association was founded in 1977 to formally represent the furniture companies located in the city of Bento Gonçalves and its surrounding region. In addition to representing the furniture industry, the purpose of the entity is to foster development conditions for the sector, by providing support to its members, negotiations with government bodies, commercial actions, or innovative programs.

Other highlights include underlying projects in areas that Sindmóveis considers essential for the sustainable growth of the sector: design and exports. Both bring the furniture industry face to face with the demands of the international market, making it more competitive in the domestic market and influencing the development of the furniture sector as a whole.

The legacy of Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves in the last decades has been to build an advanced and complete furniture manufacturing center in terms of technology and innovation.
