Salão Design Award: a crowded booth at the award ceremony

10/08/2017

The 2017 Salão Design 2017 Award management worked for one year planning, registering, judging and finally announcing its winners during a festive closing event on Wednesday night, Aug 9, with the award ceremony held at the High Design Home & Office Expo. Representatives of all 21 pieces that won the award and honorable mentions received their trophies at a cocktail party held at the Salão Design booth. They are products from Brazil, Argentina, Austria and Uruguay.

From now on, the work will be focused on the 2018 competition, which has already open registrations and marks the 30 years of the Salão Design Award organized by Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves. The deadline to enter furniture and complements to take part in the competition, which encourages creativity, entrepreneurship and technological innovation through design, is October 2.

In 2018, each class (Student, Professional and Industry / Retail) will have first, second and third places. Three super-prizes will also be awarded for best product. The Master Teacher Trophy and the Alternative Woods Award – the latter in partnership with the Brazilian Forest Service, will continue to be handed out.

Sponsored by Berneck and Interprint, the 2018 Salão Design Award will have two exhibitions:  in March during Movelsul Brasil – when the award ceremony will be held, and in August next year during  High Design Expo – Home & Office Expo.
