Displaying design products, manufacturing companies from Bento Gonçalves will share Apex-Brasil space during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan
Allê Design and Obispa companies, from Bento Gonçalves, will represent Sindmóveis at the exhibition promoted by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) in Milan. In this space, 18 sectors supported by the agency – including the furniture industry – will exhibit products developed by designers in a show run concurrently with the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, 17-20 April. .
Designed by Baba Vacaro, the Gelatina table is produced by Allê Design from recycled scraps of methacrylate sheets of different colors. Combining color and transparency, the resulting product is more than just form and function, it embodies the development of materials. The objective of the process is to reduce the leftovers of this raw material by 100% during the production system.
Obispa is displaying door pulls designed by Guto Indio da Costa at the Apex-Brasil exhibit space. A minimalist project, a characteristic of the designer, with handles that feature an optional internal locking system for doors. Made of zamac, they have different finish choices.
Allê and Obispa are member companies of the Orchestra Brasil Project, held by Sindmóveis in partnership with Apex-Brasil for the promotion of exports of raw materials, components, technology and design services for the furniture industry. The president of Sindmóveis, Cátia Scarton, highlights how important this opportunity is for the manufacturing companies of Bento Gonçalves to show the Brazilian creative potential to the world center of design. “Our participation in Milan, through several projects supported by Apex-Brasil, will be in great style,” she says.
The space of Apex-Brasil in Milan is located at the Palazzo Giuresconsulti, central Milan. In addition to this exhibition, the Brazilian design will also be present at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in two other action plans of the Brazil S/A project: Cubic Meter, featuring the exhibition of products created by Brazilian designers, and the lounge of the agency, furnished by member companies of Sindmóveis.
