Con valor facturado de R$ 541,7 millones, el  polo mobiliario de Bento Gonçalves tuvo crecimiento nominal de 2,2% en el primer trimestre de 2014 en comparación al mismo período del año anterior. Por otra parte, la industria de muebles de Río Grande do Sul tuvo incremento de 10,3% en el mismo período, con facturación de R$ 1.760 millones.<\/div>\n
Conforme el presidente del Sindicato de las Industrias del Mobiliario de Bento Gonçalves – Sindmóveis, Henrique Tecchio, a pesar del crecimiento modesto, la industria del mobiliario de Bento Gonçalves continúa creando empleos. El saldo trimestral de la industria de madera y muebles en el trimestre fue positivo con 124 nuevos empleos, lo que representa un aumento de 1,4% con relación al final del año de 2013. “Estamos enfrentando un año donde hay mucha incertidumbre y la confianza del empresario industrial está en niveles históricamente bajos, principalmente en lo que respecta al futuro de la economía. La producción física de la industria de transformación en Brasil del primer trimestre de 2014 fue apenas 0,1% superior al año pasado, mientras la industria nacional del mobiliario sufrió caída en el período”, afirma.  <\/div>\n
        Ya las exportaciones del polo mobiliario de Bento Gonçalves fueron positivas en 5,1% en el primer trimestre de 2014 en comparación con los tres primeros meses de 2013. Sin embargo, el resultado es menor que el alcanzado por Río Grande do Sul, donde el crecimiento verificado fue de 14,5%. Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, Perú y Angola, respectivamente, fueron los principales mercados para Bento Gonçalves en el trimestre.<\/div>\n
