On Nov 10, the Logistics Committee of the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gon\u00e7alves (Sindm\u00f3veis), supported by Movergs and the Container Terminal (Tecon) of Rio Grande do Sul, \u00a0organized a technical visit for its member companies to the premises of Tecon Rio Grande. Approximately 30 people took part in the program, which included a presentation on the services provided by Tecon and a visit to the shipping area.

\nAt Tecon, representatives of the companies were able to learnnot only how the containers are stored, how the cargoes are loaded on ships, and how hazardous cargoes are dealt with but also the procedure followed by \u00a0the IRS regarding lots that fall into the so-called Red Channel.

\nThe project, carried out by Sindm\u00f3veis since 2011, has also taken member companies to Tecon in Imbituba (SC), which will be again a destination next year. Aiming to learn about port structure and to promote the latest improvements of the port in Rio Grande, this will be an opportunity to bring Tecon closer to the furniture industry, which is a user of their service.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
