Knocked-down furniture for the international market is the new category of Sal\u00e3o Design competition. Created with the support of the Brazilian Trade and investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), the Brazilian Association of Textile and Apparel Industry (ABIT) and the Brazilian Association of Fashion Designers (ABEST), the category contributes to the discovery of new talents in the market, encouraging the internationalization of the furniture industry through design, and challenges students, professionals and manufacturing companies\u00a0 to develop projects focused on promoting the Brazilian design abroad. The requirement to enter this category is to have knocked-down furniture, a criteria aimed at minimizing logistics costs and increasing competitiveness, taking into consideration the production feasibility and possibility to enter the product into the market.
