The Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis) has announced that Movelsul Brasil 2020 fair has been officially postponed due to the global advance of coronavirus<\/p>\n

This decision was made by the organizers of the fair together with public health authorities, aiming to preserving the health of exhibitors, visitors, importers, service providers and the community in general.<\/p>\n

It must be emphasized that economic interests have never been considered a priority when it comes to the preservation of public health. At the moment, however, holding the event has become unfeasible.<\/p>\n

Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves has a solid 43-year history defending and promoting our furniture manufacturing region to the world. By furthering the interests of the furniture sector, the association is acting on behalf of our municipality, since its furniture industry accounts for almost half of the local GDP<\/p>\n

Sindmóveis represents more than 300 furniture companies based in Bento Gonçalves, Monte Belo do Sul, Pinto Bandeira and Santa Tereza. For more than four decades, the association has been organizing with excellence the largest professional furniture fair in Latin America – Movelsul Brasil. In moments of crisis, the association has always strived to make the best decision to benefit the sector and our city.<\/p>\n

The postponement of Movelsul Brasil 2020 is in compliance with the recommendations of the local government of Bento Gonçalves in a Decree issued today, March 13, 2020. A new date for Movelsul Brasil 2020 is being set and will be informed as soon as it is official.<\/p>\n
