For the fifth consecutive year, the Orchestra Brasil, a project that encourages exports, promoted by the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), has supported the participation of Brazilian companies in the Wood and Technology International Fair (Fitecma) in Argentina. Eighteen Brazilian companies that supply the furniture industry will present their new products at the fair, which takes place from July 2 – 6, at Centro Costa Salguero, in Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n
Both individual and collective booths will have the support of the Orchestra Brasil Project. In the pavilion exhibiting accessories, the project will give support to the participation of Brasmacol, Alternativa, Rometal, Sayerlack, Zen, CPI Tegus, Lamiecco, Cardenas and Rochesa. In the pavilion showcasing machinery, there will be nine more companies: Gaidzinski, Projepack, Arpi, Lufati, Lidear, Crippa, MP Maquinapack, Promob and Allparts.<\/p>\n
Participating in Fitecma is considered a strategic action for the member companies of the project. Argentina is the second largest economy in South America, second only to Brazil – however, it has had a negative economic growth after growing by 2.7% in 2017, in 2018 its GDP fell 2.5%. The official inflation in the country reached 47.6% in 2018, with the highest rate reported in 27 years.<\/p>\n
In the context of the furniture production industry, suppliers foster innovation through new technologies and design, which are fundamental to increase the competitiveness of the industry as a whole. In this scenario, Argentina is one of the main worldwide buyers of accessories, components, machines, tools, finishes, raw materials, inputs and technology for the furniture sector manufactured in Brazil – this is because Brazil has one of the most important furniture industries in the world.<\/p>\n

The action plan developed by the project includes the participation in international fairs, buyer’s and seller’s projects, in addition to commercial and technical missions.
