From May 23 – 27, the Orchestra Brasil Project aiming to boosts exports, promoted by the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), will be supporting the participation of five Brazilian companies at Expodeco in Lima, Peru.

Held annually, the 5th Expodeco international fair focuses on the design segment for furniture and decoration. The goal of the participating companies is to increase the average and absolute export values to Peru and to position the Brazilian supplier industry among the design enthusiasts. For this reason, companies taking part include manufacturers of software for layout, handles, wire parts, coatings and finishes – enterprises involved in this final phase of projects and architecture, namely Promob, Obispa, Alternativa, Cipatex and Zen.

This initiative is part of the strategic actions developed by the Orchestra Brasil Project, which ensure continuity of the initiative for the promotion and maintenance of businesses, and also position the industry to add value to the furniture sector. A country with 31 million inhabitants, Peru has had international prominence due to its growth, stability and economic policies in recent years. The country is considered by the World Bank one of the best business environments in that region.

Accordingly, the Peruvian furniture industry has also been developing significantly. In addition to its considerable and stable economic growth in recent years, it is one of the countries with the largest opportunities in that region. The Orchestra Brasil Project has been carried out since 2006 and promotes the competitive inclusion of supplying companies to the furniture industry in the international market. To achieve this goal it promotes market research, missions to prospect markets, individual actions, Buyer’s Projects, Seller’s Projects and Image Projects, in addition to taking part in major world trade fairs.

After taking part in Expodeco,  the Orchestra Brasil Project will participate in a Buyer’s Project at Formóbile, in July in  São Paulo.
