The Orchestra Brasil Project calendar for 2015 will end with the Orchestra Brasil Experience Buyer’s Project held from Nov 16 – 20 in Bento Gonçalves. It will consist of business meetings between 20 Latin American importers and Brazilian companies, suppliers of inputs, components, raw materials, accessories, chemicals and technology to the furniture industry. Their agenda also includes visits to wineries and local tourist attractions. The guests are mainly from Chile, Peru and Colombia.

The Orchestra Brasil Project, a partnership between the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), promotes the competitive inclusion of suppliers to the woodworking sector in the international market in a sustainable way. This special edition of the Buyer’s Project is expected to generate $ 6 million in exports for the participating companies.

The President of Sindmóveis, Henrique Tecchio, points out that this is an important action plan aimed to maintain markets and continue exports. "We have worked strongly focused on adding value to the national product, on market diversification and on the participation of new Brazilian exporters," he says.

For this initiative, Serra Gaucha will also receive member companies of Lux Brazil, an export promotion project of the lighting sector of Apex-Brasil and Abilux (the Brazilian Association of the Lighting Industry). The association has invited six importers to negotiate with manufacturers of decorative, technical and commercial lighting and suppliers of components and reactors. A total of 26 importers and 45 Brazilian companies will take part in this event that promotes the full potential of Brazilian companies and encourages business deals in the short term.

Currently, the Orchestra Brasil Project comprises 63 member companies which have access to market research, missions to prospect makets, individual actions; buyer’s projects, seller’s projects and image projects in addition to taking part in major world trade fairs. In 2016, this initiative completes 10 years promoting exports
